Recipe: Ed's Awesome Sangria

When two people ask you for your sangria recipe within three days, you know it's good.

3 oranges, thinly sliced
2 lemons, thinly sliced
3 limes, thinly sliced
1 apple, cored and sliced
4 peaches, diced
4 nectarines, diced
1/4 c sugar
1 c orange juice
juice of 1 lemon
1 1/2oz orange liqueur
2 oz brandy
4 bottles dry red wine, chilled
1 cup soda water

Cut the oranges, lemons, limes, apple, peaches and nectarine and split between 2 gallon bags. Split the sugar, orange and lemon juices, liqueur and brandy between the two bags. Refrigerate the fruit-juice-liqueur mixture for 3-4 hours.
When ready to serve, put one bag of fruit into a large bowl and add 2 bottles of wine and 1/2 cup soda water (or more to your taste).
Makes 2 batches.

Hi there, I'm a food blogger (Tiger Bites Man) and professional cook, newly arrived to Seattle. Love your blog and I'll be reading all the back posts. I would have voted on your food publication poll but I get info from Yelp for the most part, it gives me lots of varying points of view and I feel the various scores balance out to make a pretty reliable rating system. I've been blogging just for fun and am starting to get a readership, people seem to be responding well to my photos and food descriptions, I was wondering if you had any advice for turning it into something I could make more of a living at? Thanks for your time, again great blog, good eating!
